I’ve been aiming to stay in Al Raha for a long time. Until a good friend of mine suggested, that she will come over to Abu Dhabi to spend her Halloween break on the capital. Yes, Abu Dhabi is the capital city among the 7 emirates of the UAE. And so, Al Raha was our first choice to visit after a crazy night of a Halloween Party.
Al Raha is just 20mins away from Abu Dhabi city proper. We took a cab on our way there and paid more or less 50dhs. The ambiance on that Saturday morning was so relaxing, it was a bit sunny but the weather was warm. Good enough to take a dip in the pool and have siesta in the hammock. It was so relaxing with the beautiful view.
Upon our arrival we went directly outside to check the pool, the beach and of course to took some photo op. HQ Circular building is beautifully situated at the side of the beach area. It is one of the attractions when you go there. McGettigan’s Pub is also just beside the entrance of Al Raha Hotel but that was still so early to be in the pub. But the pool bar was already open for a cold mexican foster!
We got a groupon voucher for a lunch buffet at Sevilla Restaurant @95dhs for 1 person + 2 softdrinks. There are more options available in groupon deal with house beverage, just check it out every now and then if you want to get a cheaper deal http://www.groupon.ae . There were salad section, the main dishes and the desserts. Unlike any other buffets / brunches that I’ve been to, there are only few in the main dishes to choose from but it was worth it.
After lunch we went back to the pool area to have some beer and try shisha. It was our first time to try shisha and I didn’t enjoyed it that much. Though I smoke, I still don’t get the idea which part it is exciting. But at least we’ve tried, it just a matter of once preference.
If you’ll ask me if I will go back in Al Raha Hotel or should I recommend it? Definitely yes! A perfect place to unwind. Happy Travels.
